An award-winning producer, videographer, and editor, Collin Britton got his start in media production traveling the world on a major cruise line and managing their video operations. During his travels, he created an historic documentary of the ship’s first trip through the Panama Canal’s newest set of locks, for which he produced, shot, and edited by himself.
Growing up in Plano, Texas, Collin, at a young age, would often write creative stories inspired by his favorite films and video games to escape the mundanity of school work that didn’t interest him. When he wasn’t studying or participating in extracurriculars, he would indulge in the on-screen classics, and then watch the behind-the-scenes extras to see how aspects of the movie were made. Collin knew long before he finished high school that film production was what he wanted to do. He then attended the Media Arts program at the University of North Texas and graduated with highest honors in 2018. As a student there, Collin received accolades for a number of short films he produced, including Best Domestic Horror/Thriller Short Film for “Blindsided” at the Fort Worth Indie Film Showcase in 2016.
During his free time now, Collin enjoys reading a good novel or comic book, putting together jigsaw puzzles, conquering dungeons and slaying dragons on his television screen, and immersing himself in the next big blockbuster with an even bigger bucket of popcorn. He is also an Eagle Scout, pianist, DJ, and dancer who has performed in team-based competitions such as World of Dance Dallas and Dancers Paradise in Cancun.
Collin had freelanced with OAM in 2020 during the peak of the pandemic. After showcasing his extensive editing and graphic design capabilities while operating in the new normal lock-down created, Collin joined the Dallas-based team in the fall of the same year. Since then, he has created a plethora of media content ranging from documentaries and podcasts to case studies and social media videos for numerous big-name clients operating in the Dallas metroplex. His work with OAM has also been featured at major non-profit events and theater rooms both around and outside the city along with streaming platforms hosted by local news networks. Collin looks forward to many more great projects in the future and captivating tales to bring to life through the power of visual storytelling.
